The club was first founded in 1969 and was then called 'CREST' which was an anagram of the local surf spots consisting of
Coney-Rest-Esp-Sker-Trecco. 

This name was changed to Welsh Coast Surf Club in the early 70's. 

Club nights are held on the first Tuesday of every month at The Jolly Sailor Public House, Newton,
Porthcawl at 7.30 pm. 

Come along and watch a surf video on the big screen and have a chat with fellow surfers. All ages, sexes
and abilities are welcome.
